Charlotte Bilney

Global CEO | Hong Kong

Charlotte was appointed Global CEO of CDR in 2022 and leads the firm’s operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. She has been with CDR since 1996 and co-managed Asia Pacific for over a decade, helping to build a network of seven offices across five markets. She advises companies on managing their reputation and communicating with stakeholders, representing the likes of Blackstone, State Street, Fidelity, Natixis and T. Rowe Price. Charlotte has developed highly tailored media and speaker training workshops and has worked directly with hundreds of senior executives.

Agnès Riousse

Director | London

With over 20 years’ experience, Agnès specialises in advising international companies, such as Pernod Ricard, Accor, SNCF, AECOM, URS, RHI, Turkcell and GKG on their international media relations and financial PR.

Her experience also includes working with private equity and financial sector firms such as Inflexion Private Equity, Trilantic Europe, Mid Europa Partners and Shore Capital, and law firms such as Goodwin Procter. Her experience in M&A includes AECOM-URS, Pernod Ricard-Allied Domecq and she has advised la Française des Jeux for its privatisation.

Agnès has a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Burgundy (France). She is a native French speaker and a British citizen.

Angharad Couch

Director | Manchester

Angharad is a former financial journalist with more than 10 years’ experience working on regional and national newspapers including The Manchester Evening News, The Guardian and The Independent. Prior to joining CDR, she worked at Bloomberg for five years and held the post of Retail Correspondent.

Since joining CDR in 2007, Angharad has advised a wide range of UK and international companies on retained financial and corporate communications and project work. M&A transactions include Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts, ABB/Baldor, Yorkshire Building Society/Chelsea Building Society, Warburg Pincus/Poundland and Nike/Umbro.

She has extensive experience of crisis communications including litigation support and has worked on several high profile restructurings and shareholder activism campaigns including Stelios’ shareholder activism campaign against easyJet and advising Castlebeck on the Winterbourne View care home abuse scandal.

Benny Liu

Managing Director & Head of China | China

Benny has over 18 years’ public and investor relations experience in Mainland China and Hong Kong and he heads up CDR’s China operations. He specialises in capital markets, financial services and corporate communications advising companies including Blackstone, China Construction Bank, China Life, Fidelity International, Huatai Securities and Morgan Stanley in China. Benny also has wide-ranging Hong Kong and US IPO communications experience. Some of the notable IPOs he has worked on include those of Alibaba Group, BBMG, China Resources Cement, Hong Kong Electric Investments, Meitu, Swire Properties, Want Want China, WH Group and Yum China. He is an experienced media trainer and has trained hundreds of executives in both English and Chinese. He also gained extensive experience in regional marketing and communications at Man Group, one of the world’s largest alternative investment managers. Benny speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.

Carmen Martos

Director of Financial PR | Madrid

Carmen has more than 25 years of experience in press, communications and public relations environments, having advised companies of different sizes and sectors, including Monex Europe, DHL SC, DHL Express, Greenward Partners, Banco Mirabaud, WTW, PayPal, Sony, Visa and Jaguar Land Rover among others. Before joining CDR in 2010, Carmen was the Communications Director of Sun Microsystems Iberia, a position from which she was responsible for structuring all external and internal communication actions and policies of the company in Spain and Portugal. She began her professional career as a journalist in the specialised press in the technology and financial sectors, having worked for, among others, Cinco Días, Computing and eWeek. During her last stage in press, she led the publication Smart Business. Carmen holds a degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is also specialised in Crisis Communication, Emotional Intelligence applied to Business and Spokesperson Training.

Caroline Merrell

Senior Counsel | London

Caroline is a former Times journalist with over 15 years’ experience of working in public relations. She joined CDR in 2011, and has supported the strategic communications objectives of clients from a broad range of sectors, predominantly linked to financial services. She has advised leading listed and unlisted companies in the UK and internationally in banking, insurance, PE and asset management on mandates including M&A, IPOs, financial and corporate public relations, bid defence, activism and crisis. Her work with PE firms has included providing strategic communications advice including around crisis for portfolio companies in sectors ranging from TMT to retail and leisure. She has also provided communications support for clients involved in high profile litigation cases and other legal disputes. Before joining the public relations industry, she spent more than a decade at the Times where she covered financial services, banking and private equity. Prior to joining the Times, she worked as a business journalist at the Independent and the Independent on Sunday.

Christen Thomson

Christen is an alternatives specialist who has worked with more than 70 hedge funds since joining CDR as a Senior Director in 2016. Client strategies covered include activist, equity long/short, credit, quant, event driven, distressed, global macro, FX, crypto, emerging markets, biotech, disruptive tech and ESG. He is a former Deputy CEO of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the global representative of the alternative investment industry. More recently, Christen was Head of Communications for Terra Firma, the leading European private equity firm. He is a former BBC journalist who spent 12 years at the Corporation.

Claire Lewis

Claire specialises in helping companies to build and manage their reputations. Much of her work has focused on financial institutions and during her near two-decade career, Claire has advised some of the world’s largest asset managers, pension consulting firms and alternative investors. Danny Strauss is a Managing Director based in New York. Danny graduated with a B.A. in History and Political Science from Northwestern University.

Deborah Tsui

Deborah Tsui is Managing Director and Head of Financial Services at Citigate Dewe Rogerson Hong Kong, leading development and management of this sector. With nearly 20 years in public relations, Deborah has a broad range of experience working with financial institutions and corporate clients such as AIA Group, abrdn, Mayer Brown, Natixis CIB, State Street, Julius Baer and Fidelity. Eileen Bakri

Fanny Liu

Executive Director and Head of Taipei | Taiwan

Fanny has over 25 years of experience in public relations and financial journalism, news management and training. She leads the Taipei operations for CDR, servicing both multinational and domestic clients. She advises clients including Boston Consulting Group, Coupang, MSCI , DWS and Natixis on corporate communications and strategy, and also conducts media training sessions, drawing on her vast experience as a journalist. Prior to joining CDR, she worked with the Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires, Taiwan’s Central News Agency and Thomson Reuters. At Reuters, she won a global company-wide award for developing a unique Chinese-language interface allowing users of Reuters news terminals to better track news stories. Fanny has served as a lecturer on news writing for civil servants and has been a translator for Taiwan’s leading financial magazine, Business Today.

Geert Pielage

Managing Director | Amsterdam

Geert is an all-round communications professional with more than twenty five years of experience. Since he joined CFF in 2013 as member of the Management Team, Geert has worked for a variety of clients on reputation-, issue- and crisis management, corporate issues, public relations, financial- and transaction communications and public affairs. Geert started his career as Press Officer at the Dutch Ministry of Defence and afterwards he worked at ABN AMRO where he held various positions. After ABN AMRO he led the Communications function for MasterCard in Europe. Before joining CFF, Geert worked at G4S, a global player in the field of security with 650,000 employees in more than 125 countries. Geert studied Economic History at the Free University of Amsterdam and the London School of Economics.

Hugh Fasken

Hugh joined Citigate Dewe Rogerson in 2011. He has media trained in excess of 500 senior executives and, along with day-to-day comms activity and counsel, works with clients to produce high-quality content such as market commentaries, short- and long-form reports, insight pieces, social assets, and research-led collateral.

Hui Kheng Chia

Hui Kheng has over 20 years’ experience in journalism and communications, 15 of which have been with CDR. She heads up our Singapore office and advises listed and non-listed companies across diverse sectors, providing strategic counsel in crisis management, stakeholder communications, media relations, investor relations and financial transactions. As one of the most experienced IPO/investor relations consultants in Singapore, she has managed the marketing and communications aspects of numerous transactions and overseen investor relations for a wide portfolio of companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. Jasmine Yap

CEO | Asia Pacific

Jasmine Yap is CEO of Citigate Dewe Rogerson (CDR) in Asia Pacific and has been with the company since 2005. She is responsible for managing the operations across CDR’s seven offices in the region, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo. Jasmine leads many of the largest retainer accounts of CDR’s multinational financial institutions and professional services clients and also advises on M&A and IPO communications projects in the region. Her portfolio has included CICC, DWS, Goodman, LGT and State Street. An experienced trainer, she has conducted numerous media and speaker training sessions as well as crisis communications and messaging workshops. Prior to joining CDR, Jasmine covered the property, utilities, retail and tourism sectors for Bloomberg News in Hong Kong and was also a reporter for BridgeNews in Singapore. Jasmine is fluent in English, Cantonese and Malay, as well as speaking Mandarin.

Jos Bieneman

Kristell Le Nadan

Earlier in her career, Linda gained in-house experience overseeing the PR department at a leading integrated property developer in China. Marie Frocrain

Nicolas Bammez

Associate Director | France

Nicolas is 12 years experienced professional with a strong focus on corporate communication and public affairs. He started his career as a communication advisor for French members of parliament in both Senate and National Assembly and for Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Ministry of the Environment. In 2012 he joined an international engineering company as a communication manager before joining in 2017 Société Générale Factoring to lead the communication. With a solid experience in corporate communications, crisis and public affairs, Nicolas joined the world of communication agencies in 2017, first at La Villa, Maison de communication, and in 2020 at Zmirov PR Group. Patrick Evans

Patrick leads CDR’s Corporate and Financial Services team, and has spent over 25 years serving numerous brands across the sector. Stanley White

Director & Deputy Head of Tokyo

Stanley White is a Director who leverages more than 20 years of experience as a financial journalist. He joined CDR in June 2021, where he uses his extensive knowledge of the media landscape to advise clients on media relations, strategic communications, and stakeholder management. Stanley previously worked at Thomson Reuters for more than a decade in Tokyo. Stanley has also worked in Japan as a reporter at Bloomberg LP and Dow Jones Newswires. Prior to that Stanley worked at CNN in Hong Kong. Stanley has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Yale University. He speaks fluent Japanese.

Uneke was appointed Managing Director of CFF Communications in Amsterdam in 2012, and has over 20 years of experience as a communications advisor. She acts as team lead and strategic advisor for a large number of special projects, including M&A, turnaround, crises and IPO’s. Besides transaction and crisis work, Uneke oversees a portfolio of clients with whom she has built a long-lasting relationship, acting as an outsourced director of investor relations and corporate communications and board room advisor. Uneke joined CFF Communications in 1999 and became part of the management team in 2005.

Yoann Besse

Yoann is an experienced professional with a strong focus on corporate, financial, institutional and crisis communications for clients in various sectors. He started his career as a consultant at Ogilvy PR and joined the Paris office of Citigate Dewe Rogerson in 2009. He has managed French operations since 2017 and led the merger with Grayling France. Yoann advises international clients on their announcements in France and French companies on their international communications. He supervises and coordinates campaigns for all types of situations (transactions, IPOs, restructuring, day-to-day activities, product launches, influencer programmes, etc.) and trains his clients to prepare for sensitive issues. He holds Master’s degrees in Political Economy and International Business from the London School of Economics and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po).

Charlotte was appointed Global CEO of CDR in 2022 and leads the firm’s operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. She has been with CDR since 1996 and co-managed Asia Pacific for over a decade, helping to build a network of seven offices across five markets. She advises companies on managing their reputation and communicating with stakeholders, representing the likes of Blackstone, State Street, Fidelity, Natixis and T. Rowe Price. Charlotte has developed highly tailored media and speaker training workshops and has worked directly with hundreds of senior executives.
